Justin Trudeau’s former U.S. ambassador broke ethics law by lobbying Liberal ministers and government staff

The federal ethics commissioner has ruled that Canada’s former ambassador to the U.S. broke federal conflict of interest law by taking “improper advantage” of his position to lobby senior Liberal staff and cabinet ministers after he left his post as a public servant.
