Both HuffPost Canada and HuffPost Québec have been abruptly shut down only two weeks after journalists at both digital outlets filed to unionize.
The move comes three months after the American digital media company BuzzFeed acquired HuffPost from Verizon in November 2020. On February 23, CWA Canada announced two dozen workers had filed for union certification.
